Our Milling Capability

Eight VMCs.
One Accountable Shop.

Cherry Creek Machine runs eight Haas vertical machining centers, ranging from the compact VF-1 to the large-format VF-4SS with Midaco pallet automation. We produce prototypes and production runs with consistent, documented results.

Renishaw on-machine probing on select VMCs catches setup errors before they become scrap. Midaco pallet automation keeps the spindle running while operators load the next job. Every finished part is inspected and documented under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system.

What Sets Our Milling Apart

Three Reasons Manufacturers
Choose Our VMCs

01
Pallet Automation — More Uptime, Faster Delivery

Our VF-4SS is equipped with a Midaco pallet system that keeps the spindle running while operators set up the next job. This means faster cycle times and better on-time delivery — not "lights-out" operation, but meaningfully more productive use of machine time.

02
Renishaw Probing Catches Errors Before They Become Scrap

Select VMCs run Renishaw on-machine probing to verify part position and critical features mid-cycle. Setups are confirmed before the part is finished — not discovered after. This is especially valuable on first-articles and tight-tolerance aerospace work.

03
One Shop, Full Size Range

From small precision components on the VF-1 to large weldment fixtures and plate work on the VF-4SS, we cover the full range under one roof. One purchase order, one point of contact, one quality system — whether your part is 2 inches or 50 inches long.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked
Questions

What tolerances can you hold on CNC milling jobs?
Our 8 Haas VMCs hold tolerances to ±0.0005″ on most milling work. Renishaw on-machine probing on select VMCs catches setup errors before they become scrap. We document all inspections under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
What is your typical lead time for milled parts?
Standard lead times run 5–10 business days depending on complexity, material availability, and current shop load. Prototype quantities (1–5 pieces) often turn faster. Contact us with your drawing and we'll give you a realistic timeline at the time of quoting.
What file formats do you accept for CNC milling quotes?
We work with STEP, IGES, DXF, STP, and PDF. STEP files are preferred for 3D parts. For flat or 2D profiles, DXF or a dimensioned PDF works well. No file? Describe your part and we'll help you figure out the right path.
What materials do you commonly mill?
Aluminum, steel, stainless steel, 4140, 4340, Inconel, titanium, brass, copper, HDPE, Delrin, and other engineering plastics. If you have an unusual material, ask — we'll tell you honestly what we can and can't run.
Do you offer first-article inspection (FAI) reports?
Yes. First-article inspection is standard practice for new parts and is part of our ISO 9001:2015 quality system. We document dimensions, material certifications, and any special characteristics required by your drawing.
